Terms of Use
By downloading or using the Mera Phone app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. What the app does
Mera Phone sounds an alarm, flashes the screen and flashlight, and vibrates when it detects that your phone has been moved or snatched. It is a deterrent. It does not guarantee that your phone will not be stolen or that it will be recovered.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app, its sounds or its artwork.
3. Acceptable use
- Do not use the app to harass, frighten or disturb other people, or in places where loud alarms are prohibited (for example hospitals and flights).
- Alarms are very loud. Keep the phone away from your ears and those of others.
- You are responsible for complying with local laws when using the app.
4. Detection limits
Motion detection depends on your device's sensors and settings. It can produce false alarms or miss events. Some features only work while the app is open on screen.
5. Price
Some features may need a Mera Phone subscription. The trial fee, trial length, subscription price and billing period are shown in the app before you start.
- How you pay: you approve a UPI Autopay mandate in your own UPI app. It covers the trial fee now and the subscription price at the end of the trial and then each billing period, until you cancel. Payments are processed by Razorpay.
- Before each charge: your bank or UPI app notifies you at least 24 hours before the money is debited.
- Cancel any time: in the app (Settings), or by cancelling the mandate in your UPI app. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
- Failed payments: if a charge fails we may retry it a few times over the following days. If every retry fails, the subscription stops.
- Refunds: email us if you were charged by mistake.
6. Disclaimer
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or theft of your device, loss of data, hearing discomfort, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
8. Changes and termination
We may update these terms or the app from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms. You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
