Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the Mera Phone Android app ("Mera Phone", "the app", "we") handles your information. In short: your sounds, recordings, alarm history and location never leave your phone. Our server keeps only your account (Google name and email), your subscription, and a record of how the app is used, so we can run your account and improve the app. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
Information the app uses

What we do not do
- No advertising, and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. Usage events go only to our own server.
- We do not sell or rent your data. The only third parties that receive any of it are Google Cloud (our hosting provider) and Razorpay (payments, only if you subscribe).
- Your location is never sent to our server.
- No background location access.
- No recording in the background. The microphone is used only while you are on the Record screen.
- Your recordings and audio files are never uploaded.
Permissions
Camera, microphone and location are optional. You can grant or revoke them at any time in Android Settings > Apps > Mera Phone > Permissions. The alarm works without them.
Data retention and deletion
Data on your phone stays until you delete it: clear alarm history in the app (Alarm history > Clear history), or clear the app's storage or uninstall it.
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings > Account > Delete account) or by emailing us. This deletes your name, email and usage events from our server and stops any subscription. Payment records (amount, date, payment ID) are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires, with your personal details removed. See Data Deletion.
Children
Mera Phone is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone.
Security
Data on your phone is protected by your phone's own security (screen lock and Android app sandboxing). Data on our server is sent over HTTPS and stored in Google Cloud, with access limited to the Mera Phone team.
Changes to this policy
If we change what data the app collects, we will update this policy before that version is released and change the date above.
